My dining plan cost analysis PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, October 18 2009 02:27

Just for the record I never thought the dining plan was a good deal. Even before doing
the cost analysis I would like to say I really thought it worked well and will do it again.

Our party consisted of 2 adults staying for 5 nights which made the total $390.

That included

10 snacks (5 per person)

10 counter service meals (5 per person)

10 table service meals (5 per person)

Dead Guy in an Envelope PDF Print E-mail

The alarm clock goes off to my favorite radio station – Mix 106.5.  The DJ says, who’s your guess for “Dead Guy In The Envelope”?  The caller says “Walt Disney”.  “Walt Disney is correct”!!  Then I wake up.  Weird.  I just dreamt that my favorite contest “Dead Guy In The Envelope” on my favorite radio station was won with the answer Walt Disney.  Of course it was just a dream.  I thought about my dream briefly and decided, I’d try to call in and my guess would be Walt Disney…I mean, come on, what are the odds that I’d be right?

The Magic of Disney to Me PDF Print E-mail

The pure innocence and lack of inhibition of childhood is something that seems to escape us more and more with each year of “growing up”. Lines that were never visible before seem to appear between us based on our age, race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status and many other factors that are drawn for us by society. No matter how much I told myself that I was never going to grow up…it seems that it was inevitable. The stress of finances, expectations, the unknown….all of these worries seems to jump on your back as you get older. Ahhhh to step back in time just for a second would be such a journey. On my most recent trip to Disney World this past weekend I felt like I stepped back in time to 1986- to my very first trip to Disney World EVER!!

When should I go? PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, October 18 2009 02:43

One of the most popular questions I get is when is the best time to go to WDW
and I always respond with whenever possible. This answer is a bit deceiving though
I really don’t mean as often as possible but whatever time suits you best. Some
people only go during the very slow seasons. While others for many reasons can
only go doing the higher season. Either time is fine its just each comes with certain
risks and rewards.

Braving the weather in Disney World PDF Print E-mail

Yes it is true....even in the near perfect land commonly known as Walt Disney World the sky isn't always clear and the sun does not always shine. Even in the "happiest place on earth" the weather can be wet, cool and Eeyore may even refer to it as gloomy at times. However, rain doesn't need to put a damper on your Disney experience. There are plenty of fun things to do on a rainy Disney day. First of all if you are adventurous, the rainy, or colder days are the BEST days for short lines. If you have a good rain jacket (or the infamous bright yellow Mickey poncho) handy then you can get out and enjoy the parks. The most important advice I can give if you dare to venture to the parks in the rain is to be prepared!
